What is Heat Transfer Vinyl?
Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) are special foils that are cut with a plotter and then heat-pressed onto the textile. Unlike printing methods, the entire foil becomes part of the motif - resulting in unique textures and effects.
Flex foils have a smooth, shiny surface - perfect for sporty designs. Flock foils have a velvety, soft texture - ideal for a premium, tactile look.

Limitations
Single colors only
Each color requires a separate foil layer. Multi-color designs with 3+ colors become expensive and thick. For multi-color designs, consider DTF Transfer instead.
No fine details
Very thin lines and tiny text (under 5mm) are difficult to cut and weed. Keep designs simple and bold.
Cost at larger quantities
For 50+ pieces with the same design, screen printing is usually more economical.
